Microsoft Office 2003

Though it is very similar to Office XP, Office 2003 poses a challenge because many of the components that were packaged with Office XP are not packaged with Office 2003.

Some of the things we need to implement to get Office 2003 working respectably are:

• Microsoft Installer support - see MicrosoftInstaller

• builtin OLE32 support - see InstallShield

• perhaps MicrosoftXML

• some components of Internet Explorer - see MozillaIntegration

• MDAC database components

Not all of these components are required for basic functionality.
