Exherbo

Official Exherbo website

Exherbo is a source-based Linux distribution with up-front configuration using a decentralised development workflow.

Note: If you choose to disable debugging support or use -fomit-frame-pointer or --hash-style=both when compiling Wine, do NOT report bugs to Wine Bugzilla or Application Database. Do not waste our time, as you have turned off the features that enable us to help you.

Installation:

To install the latest version of Wine available in Exherbo:

# cave resolve app-emulation/wine -x

To install a specific version of Wine (we usually keep several available), add the version specifier like this: [=<Wine version>] E. g.:

# cave resolve app-emulation/wine[=1.1.42] -x

Updating works by not specifying any version as explained above. You just have to update your repositories first:

# cave sync

Re-installation:

If you for some reason decided to delete a file critical to Wine functionality, simply re-run installation.

Removal:

# cave resolve \!app-emulation/wine -x
