Dogfood Challenge
Wine is nearing its 1.2.x release, and we need your help to make sure it's a good one!
The idea is simple: use wine for everything from now on. This is commonly called "eating your own dog food".
Whatever apps you use the most, run the Windows version under Wine instead of the Linux version.
This goes for Firefox, OpenOffice, vim, ... whatever.
(Yes, it's a bit silly to run the Windows version if there's a Linux version, but it's a great way to find rare Wine bugs.)
If you find problems, report them to the wine-users forum; use subject line "Dogfood Challenge". (Or file a bug, and put dogfood somewhere in the summary line.)
When testing, always use the latest release candidate of Wine.
As a token of our gratitude, for each release candidate of Wine 1.x, we will send a Wine t-shirt to one lucky user who submits a useful dogfood bug report.
