Building Wine Gecko instruction

The following describe how the Wine Gecko package is built.

NOTE: If you're unsure if you want to build it yourself, the answer is no. There is no reason to build it yourself unless you're going to work on Mozilla code. If you need Gecko to run an app in Wine, check the Gecko page.

These instruction describe how the official package is built on Jacek Caban's computer, which is a Gentoo installation. If you need help, feel free to contact him.

The exact instruction about building the package of 1.4.0 version are stored in README file in Wine Gecko source directory.

Git version

Wine Gecko source is stored in Git on Sourceforge. See README file in Git for building current instruction. Note that you won't be able to use Git version in Wine unless you make necessary changes to MSHTML.
